Imaginative Transformations
From Modern/Chic to Country/Farmhouse, Kelly Cummings George has always loved many different aspects of design. Married to her husband, Gavin, she has thouroughly enjoyed being a "Boy Mom" to her two sons, Gavin Kent (23) and Dakota Blaine (20). Kelly fell in love with transforming spaces, starting with their very first Condo in Southern California.
Kelly always knew that she wanted to be a wife and mom more than anything else and found that being a stay-at-home mom gave her the opportunity to explore design from the perspective of using what is there before buying more.. "Many times there is a reason behind why people buy things, a memory, a sentiment, or just something that they liked. The tough part is bringing those things together in a cohesive manner, which sometimes takes a little imagination.", she says with a twinkle in her eye and a grin on her face. "I just love to see the emotion when my friends see their favorite pieces blended with cohesive design to create a very personalized, stylish space that they call 'Home'."
Kelly has been married to Gavin, an Executive at UPS, for over 25 years. Moving with UPS has enabled her to explore different styles as they have had the opportunity to live in some really neat neighborhoods and houses in Southern California, Dallas, and Nashville.
They now reside in Celina, TX, just 40 miles due north of Downtown Dallas. She is enjoying redesigning and decorating the home that will be where they retire and the grandbabies come to... eventually. On her 6 acre "ranchette", there is a barn and pond, honeybees and 4 donkeys.
Kelly has found inspiration from a wide variety of designers including Christopher Lowell, Joanna Gaines, and Jennifer Todryk, aka "The Rambling Redhead".
Kelly is a lot fun and is regularly seen wearing t-shirts that say "I love Jesus but I cuss a little" and "I am NOT for everyone".
